THE HUMAN BEHIND THE SCIENCE
My work is grounded in accuracy, transparency, and collaboration. I believe clear communication is just as important as technical precision, and I take the time to understand each client’s goals so the insights we uncover truly support confident, informed decision-making.
I’m especially passionate about using thoughtful, creative visuals to make complex data clear and accessible. From careful data processing to identifying meaningful patterns, I enjoy uncovering the trends that drive a compelling scientific story.
I hold a MSc and PhD in Environmental Science from the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research (GLIER) at the University of Windsor. My doctoral research focused on understanding the structure and function of microbial communities in freshwater sediments and sands, with an emphasis on human and environmental health in recreational waters and beaches. My work included studying opportunistic pathogens - such as E. coli and other bacterial indicators - through genomics, transcriptomics, and a source-tracking lens to better understand risk, origin, and impact.
